Sorry it's been so long since my last post, but as expected I've been super busy with the move. It's going pretty well, there have been a few bumps in the road but we get through it and move on. The only reL issues we had were with the mustang and trying to get a flight set up for our cats. Aside from our mustang having the usual issues, the transmission oil pan was ripped open by a metal speed bump on base! It was really unpleasant. The fix didn't take as long as we thought but it sure was stressful. We are still going to try to sell it, it will just be a little harder since we won't be on the island. What we are doing for that is having a friend try and help us sell it. I'm hoping it won't take too long to sell. As for the cats, we tried going through a lady out here ( Island Pet Movers)but it wasn't working out. The lady who I was talking to was very nice and wanted to help but there was a constant game of phone tag and miscommunication. We ended up booking our own flight and turns out we are spending less money than if we were to stick with Island Pet Movers. We are going through American Airlines, what's really awesome is that the cats will be on an over night flight like us and we can meet them up at the airport. I would hate for them to be by themselves for too long.
Now I'm kinda back tracking, the pack out day was the easiest part of the entire move I think. We didn't have a whole ton of stuff, which made things easier, and the moving company sent out three guys to pack it all up. I was having a hard time just sitting down and watching them pack everything, but they said it was fine and that they would take care of it. I must say it was a lot less stressful having other people packing everything for you. They were all very friendly and very thorough. Plus it helps to get the guys food, we ordered pizza for them. Now I know your not really suppose go, but we had actually given them the rest of the beer that
was in our fridge. No they did not drink while they were working, we had given it to them just before they left. Over all I would say that pack out day was a good experience, although it may be a little more difficult with a larger home.
So, now that we are a day before our flight to California I'd say I'm pretty proud of myself for not having a mental break down! I didn't think it would be that easy, looking at it as a whole was scary but taking it at one project at a time made things a lot easier! I hope that this will help give others a peace of mind during their first PCS. If you want any more detailed information about our move and about the process of it you can find me on Facebook and Twitter. I will do my best to give regular updates on our trip to California and our journey to Ft. Worth Texas!

Crunch Time!
And no i don't mean ab crunches, although it doesn't hurt to throw some of those into my schedule. This Friday the movers come to pack everything up and ship it to Ft. Worth, it all seems so surreal. I can't believe we are actually leaving Hawaii and going to Texas! I'm am a mix of so many emotions right now but, mostly happy. Well and a little sad, I am definitely going to miss my friends here.
Being a procrastinator is never a good thing, especially with moving! Rob and I have yet to go through all of our things and decide what we will be tossing or keeping. (Funny as I'm typing this my hubby is still asleep in bed! haha) It's better to be punctual than slack off like we have, I have a feeling that we will be scrambling until Friday, and that will only add more stress. Although, I have a feeling it will all go pretty smoothly.
Another thing that we have yet to make a decision on is whether or not we will be sending our cats to California with my Mom until Rob and I get out there. We have our date set for when we leave the island, but as far as everything else goes its unplanned. What I would like to do is keep our cats with us until we leave and go through the Island Pet Movers (link here ---> http://islandpetmovers.com/) about a week before we fly out. That way they won't be away from us for too long. I love my cats and I would be really sad if something happened to them, so I want to do what is best for them.
Oh! And our cars! Eek! If our Mustang doesn't sell then we will end up paying out of pocket to ship it to Ft. Worth. The military will only ship one car for you, and since the Mazda has a lot more room than the
Mustang it makes more sense to have that one shipped to California for our up and coming road trip. Hopefully the Mustang will sell, we are going to put it out on the "lemon lot" on base and see if someone will buy it. For those who don't know, a lemon lot is just a big parking lot where people can leave there cars with signs and information to sell it. If that doesn't work out for us then I suppose we will just pay to ship it.
I will do my best to keep everyone updated but since the movers are coming this Friday I will be without a computer. However Rob and i just bought ourselves a Xoom so maybe i can use that to make updated blogs.
Oh and Happy Easter! Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday weekend :)

Apartment Hunting
The one thing that is most important to me is finding a place that my husband and I can call home. A place of comfort and peace, and a place where we can raise a family. Given the circumstances of having to wait to actually see the apartments we have been looking at, its hard to decide which one to go with. There are a few places that are really nice and they have what I most desire in an apartment, a nice spacious kitchen, washer and dryer of own own, and a dishwasher! It amazes me how something like your own washer and dryer and dishwasher can bring me so much joy! Haha. We share a washer and dryer with the other people on this property and for some gross reason my clean clothes manage to come out smelling like stinky feet, ugh. So needless to say I'm stoked about having one to myself.
Any ways, apartment hunting is difficult when your not there pictures can only do so much. The ones that we have found so far a away from base but not too far. And the bonus is Downtown Fort Worth is not that far off either, so we could go into town and have some fun at the bars and restaurants, theaters and so on.
These are just a few that we have been looking at, I'm leaning more towards the Riverstone apartments but Rob likes the Watervue apartments better. So let me know your opinion, and if any of you are from around those areas some feedback about the area would be greatly appreciated. :)
Riverstone Apartments
Watervue Apartments
Southern Oaks Apartments
Village at Hawks Creek Apartments
Those are just a few ideas of what we are looking at, I am so excited to go to Texas. Although I am nervous about going to a new place and having to make new friends and the idea of finding a job out there is a little intimidating. But I know it will all work out :)

Baby Steps
So we are taking the first few steps of the moving process and so far its not very excited. The only thing we've gotten done so far is telling our landlord that we are moving out of the apartment in the next 28 days. I am so thrilled to get out of this apartment, it has been nothing but trouble since we moved in. Poor plumbing, broken oven, not having a washer or dryer of our own (not even one that we could use regularly without some one else clothes being in it), problems with flooding while is rains... Yea I could keep going but I wont, I'm just happy to get out.
Thankfully we wont be staying in a dump! We are going to stay with some friends on base until we leave. So thankful for my friends out here, I am definitely going to miss them. The down side is that Rob and I will most likely be sleeping on an air mattress and with three cats, that doesn't come out too good. Thats what happened to our last one, we were basically sleeping on a tile floor for a month! But hopefully they don't pop it before we send them to my Mom. She has offered to take care of them until Rob and I arrive in California.
This is going to be a very stressful move, I can already tell. Last time I made a big move it was to Hawaii and three weeks before actually leaving I was breaking out in hives like it was cool. I think its all about how you manage your time and I wasn't doing a very good job of that. Maybe I'll change my ways this time around, who knows. Well off to finish some chores, I'll be sure to keep you updated. :)

First Time PCSing
So Rob and I are PCSing to JRB Fort Worth Texas, I am so excited and nervous about this move. This is going to be a big change for me, only a year and a half ago I was planning to pack up everything i had and move to Hawaii with him. It's been a wonderful experience and I will miss the friends that I've made here, but our journey continues.
However this part of our journey is not very easy, there is just so much that we have to get done in such a short period of time. We have decided to leave Oahu around June 2nd. Originally we planned to leave later in June to be in Calirnia to visit family during the fourth of July and my birthday, my 21st birthday to be exact :). But we figured we want to get off the island as soon as we can and use our time wisely to spend more time with family and finding an apartment.
I still don't know where we are going to stay, Rob has his heart set on the Watervue apartments in Keller. They look really nice and the community seems great but I would still like to look around. Lately I've been more concerned about what we are going to do when we get there but I should probably start worrying about whats going on here. We made a list of things that we need to do, it doesn't seem like alot but the fact that we have to sell our mustang is gonna boil up the stress of the move more than it needs to. I have posted that darn car on Craigslist multiple times and still no bites :/ But I'm sure it will work itself out.
So this blog will be of our move from Hawaii to Fort Worth Texas, Its going to be an interesting event to say the least. I will do my best to keep you guys updated.
For those of you who have gonna through PCS and are pretty familiar with what goes on and you have some tips, please feel free to leave me a comment or visit me on my facebook page :)
